About CVR...

Cedar Valley Reservoir is Garnett’s largest lake facility.  Completed in 1985, this lake is located approximately 7 miles west of Garnett.  Water-skiing, jet skiing, boating, fishing and camping are popular sports at this lake of more than 4,400 acre-feet.  This lake has floating boat docks, loading ramps, restroom facilities, picnic areas, and RV & wilderness camping available.  This rustic setting is the perfect get-away that is still close to town.

Directions to Cedar Valley Reservoir from Garnett:  From US 59 in Garnett, go west on 7th Avenue and follow the signs.  Travel 4.5 miles, then south on Kentucky Road, then back east on 1500 Road to the park entrance.

State fishing license and boating registration is required on city lakes.  However, no city fishing or boating permits fees are charged by the city of Garnett.
